The gynaecology consultation is carried out by a doctor specialized in obstetric and gynecological health who defends the integrative perspective of promoting women’s health, based on the promotion of global balance and physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of women and not just the prevention and treatment of diseases and symptoms.
The most frequent reasons why (pre)adolescents seek gynaecology consultations are:
- gynecological check-up after the onset of the first menstruation
- clarification of doubts about fertility, menstrual health and contraception
- menstrual irregularities: irregular menstrual cycles, too heavy or too light, abdominal cramps,
- gynecological check-up after starting sexual intercourse
Whenever necessary, gynecological ultrasound can be performed in consultation for additional monitoring.
Consultations are carried out at UTERUS facilities or digitally. Digital consultations do not allow physical and clinical examinations to be carried out.
