WHY HAVE A BREASTFEEDING CONSULTATION DURING PREGNANCY?
- To identify and understand the body’s signs of preparation and milk production during pregnancy;
- To learn the main ways to promote successful breastfeeding;
- To recognize the signs that your baby is feeding effectively;
- To explore and reflect on the main obstacles and challenges to successful breastfeeding;
- To identify and learn how to use the breastfeeding support tools available to you;
- To know what to do in case of breast pain or discomfort between or during feeds;
- To learn what to do if your baby is not feeding effectively or not receiving all the milk they need, among other topics.

A PRENATAL BREASTFEEDING CONSULTATION IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT WHEN:
- You have previously had a difficult breastfeeding experience;
- You have undergone breast surgery;
- You experience significant breast sensitivity;
- You fear not having a positive breastfeeding experience;
- You worry about not being able to breastfeed;
- You have a planned C-Section;
- You were diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes.
This consultation can take place at the UTERUS clinic, at home, or online.
