Functional Nutrition and Nutrigenetics Consultation

Functional nutrition plays a key role in the development of immunity, hormonal regulation, weight control, skin and tissue health, intestinal health, among others. Basically, it has a role of global regulation of the health of the organism.

In a functional and integrative approach, we seek, more than managing symptoms, to find the underlying cause, assessing the individual as a whole and analyzing the different aspects that may interfere with their health. For this reason, all recommendations are personalized, as each person is unique. Basically, it is intended to offer/ enhance the “tools” necessary for the body to self-repair.

Nutritional rebalancing can be a key vehicle for the body’s overall health. During the appointment, clinical information is collected that is necessary for the preparation of the dietary plan, namely through a physical examination, body composition assessment, anamnesis, dietary history, among others. Food education is emphasized and practical strategies are provided for the adoption of new food plans and/or lifestyle changes. An active participation and a proactive attitude of co-responsibility are indispensable factors for achieving a balanced nutritional status.

Among the most frequent reasons for booking a functional nutrition appointment we highlight:

  • weight management and control
  • management of symptoms associated with endometriosis and adenomyosis
  • recurrent situations of acne, constipation, candidiasis and/or urinary infections
  • polycystic ovary syndrome
  • support in managing the individual/family food plan
